Wearable sensors provide early detection of progression in Parkinson’s Disease

Researchers from two of Reuben College’s different research clusters have been working closely together to analyse a large dataset generated in a project looking at the progression of Parkinson’s disease.

Professors Chrystalina Antoniades (cellular life) and Lionel Tarassenko (AI & machine learning and Reuben President) formed an all-Reuben partnership which also included a Reuben DPhil student, Max Brzezicki. Reuben College was the catalyst for brining these researchers from different disciplines together.

The results were worth all the effort and have just been published in the journal NPJ Parkinson’s disease, and you can read more information on the University of Oxford's website.
