Alumni

Everyone who studies at Reuben is a member of the College for life. There are various ways for our alumni to continue to be part of our community in the next few years, as well as big plans for events and networking as our alumni base grows.

Please send any queries to alumni@reuben.ox.ac.uk

Keeping in touch

As long as you let us know how to keep in touch, you will receive a digital copy of the annual College Record, as well as termly alumni e-newsletters. We will also contact you about any alumni events that we hold. For news in-between times, please do continue to visit our website and social media accounts.

We will primarily contact you via email and may contact you via post or telephone. If your contact details change, or you wish to change your contact preferences, please update your details by logging in to your My Oxford Online account. You can view the University’s privacy notice for alumni, shared also by Reuben, here.

For leaving residents of Farndon Court, with your permission we will pass Ray any forwarding address you have logged on My Oxford Online, so do be sure to update these details as needed.

Visiting College

In your first year after leaving, we would like to invite you and a guest to one Dining with Dinosaurs event. You will both be charged the guest price and should contact alumni@reuben.ox.ac.uk to organise your visit. Do remember do keep an eye on the website termcards to see what evening you want to choose, and give us enough time to process your booking – ideally, at least a week’s notice. Please note that not all Dining with Dinosaurs events will be open to guests, and should you wish to bring a guest please only choose an event that we can offer this for.

Secondly, on completion of the RSL, we will host a FREE dinner (Gaudy) for our alumni on Saturday 6 July 2024 to give you the chance to see our new home. You will have many other opportunities to visit the College and we will keep you up-to-date in the termly newsletter. As time goes on, we’re excited to welcome you back for student theatrical, choral and musical productions, and for sports matches, which will also be publicised in our newsletters.

My Oxford Card-holders are welcome to visit the College, but access is only possible Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and must be pre-arranged with the college. Please email the Alumni Office, if you wish to arrange a visit.

Transcripts (and costs)

Transcripts

A transcript is an official summary of your academic performance and progress to date. It will only include final marks confirmed by the appropriate Examination Board. A transcript may be required by prospective employers or educational institutions to which you are applying. Find more information about accessing your transcript here.

The University of Oxford has recently developed a Digital Award Documentation service for providing degree certificates, transcripts and verification of degrees. This allows students and alumni to view, download, and print their electronic degree certificates and transcripts online, share a degree confirmation letter, and allow third parties (such as employers, other universities, and government agencies) to verify their degree status. This costs a one-off registration fee of £15 for unlimited access to this service.

All degree certificates, degree confirmation letters and transcripts are now electronic, except for the following circumstances:

  • A paper degree certificate, which will continue to be printed for students at their degree conferral
  • Paper degree certificate re-prints for students and alumni, which will incur a cost, plus postage
  • Other exceptional circumstances, on a case-by-case basis

When Oxford students apply for further study, they no longer need to provide paper documents and can instead use this online service to verify their education at Oxford.

For more information, please visit the Graduation and leaving Oxford webpage. If you have any further queries, please contact the Degree Conferrals Office via edocuments.support@admin.ox.ac.uk.
