Am also interested in classical music ( western and Indian) and traveling to a variety of geographical landscapes and uncover local art and culture.
What did you enjoy about being at Reuben and/or the University of Oxford?: Reuben was my top choice from day one, and I’ve never looked back! As an international student, joining a young, tight-knit community where staff and alumni were growing together as part of a new college was memorable. The accommodation at Farndon Court was a bonus: modern, comfortable, and affordable. In times of need, the Reuben welfare team was always there with unwavering and prompt support. And above all, my year at Reuben gave me lasting connections and friendships that I will continue to cherish and nurture.
How has your degree and experience at Reuben/Oxford impacted upon your career/life?: Reuben offered the well-rounded experience I needed to transition from industry to academia, with a strong focus on addressing 21st-century challenges. In the field of digital health, I was deeply inspired by the mentorship of Professor Lionel and several Reuben fellows. A standout memory for me was the "Dining With Dinosaurs": a fantastic cross-disciplinary weekly event that played a key role in shaping my decision to pursue a multidisciplinary subject for my PhD. Events centred around AI further exposed me to the ethical dilemmas surrounding AI models in healthcare, and now, here I am, fully dedicated to pursuing a PhD on the subject!
What advice would you give to students wishing to attend Reuben/Oxford?: My advice to new Reubenites is to make the most of your time at this incredible college. Attend Reuben events, create lasting memories, and use this unique, multidisciplinary environment to lay the foundation for your future career. It's a fantastic breeding ground for collaboration, whether it’s to fuel your own research endeavours or even launch a future spin-out!
