Zhiyao is a DPhil student at Reuben College. Zhiyao’s research interests lays in reinforcement learning, generative models in the healthcare context. Before coming to Oxford, Zhiyao completed his Master of Science degree at National University of Singapore, followed by a one-year graduate research fellow position. His research in Singapore was related to the planning of large-scale multi-agent systems via distributed reinforcement learning. He also contributed to reinforcement learning-based decision-making processes in nano-material manufacturing and optimization.
Zhiyao was the director of ME department in a startup IoT company HiveMind Intelligence Co. Ltd. He holds 9 Chinese National Patents, and he was the chairman of Shaanxi XingZhi Public Welfare Alliance in China, a NPO which conducts annual voluntary teaching for remote and rural villages across Shaanxi province.
