Biography
Yee Van's research interests include material recovery and clean energy, supported by sustainability analysis, optimisation, and scenario modeling. Her work to date emphasizes life cycle analysis within the solid waste management sector, spanning from micro to macro scales. This includes assessing optimal treatment strategies for waste collection and management systems, analysing GHG emissions from waste flows, and examining their relationships with demographic and socioeconomic factors.
Her current research focuses on digitalisation as a potential enabler of net-zero and circular economy targets. She is primarily involved in CicEUlar Project, a European Research and Innovation Action project that aims to develop new modeling approaches for analysing circularity from a systems perspective.
