Sergej Kucenko

Biography

Sergej is a MSc student in Applied Digital Health at Reuben College, Oxford. He holds a BSc in Health Sciences from the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences. As part of his undergraduate degree, he spent one semester studying the MSc in Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark in Esbjerg.

Sergej's research broadly focuses on the responsible development, implementation, and use of digital health technologies. He is particularly interested in the public perceptions and use of large language models for health information, the evaluation of trustworthy AI in healthcare, and methods to engage communities in making AI more responsible (e.g., bias bounties). Sergej has also gained research experience in public health (e.g., ‘Mental and physical well-being among students in Germany: results from the StudiBiFra study’) and the application of Virtual Reality (in alcohol prevention, anxiety therapy, and the promotion of climate-friendly behaviour).
