Dr Maria Lean is currently completing a Master of Science in Integrated Immunology at the University of Oxford. She also works as a medical doctor, completing her specialist training in infectious diseases, clinical immunology, and immunopathology.
Maria’s research interests include infection, immunity and vaccination. Her current work includes quality-improvement initiatives to increase opportunistic inpatient vaccination and contributions to antibiotic allergy de-labelling. She also co-leads research on traveller vaccination and infection-control behaviours in aviation, including ongoing systematic reviews and initiatives to improve knowledge and accessibility of vaccines.
