Lisa Reuben

Biography

Former specialist in the Contemporary Arts department at Sotheby’s London, Lisa Reuben has continued to work in the art field in various capacities. Over the last 10 years she has been building an art collection on behalf of the Reuben Brothers, focusing on Modern and Contemporary Art which will be exhibited to the public in due course.

In her capacity as Trustee of the Reuben Foundation, an organisation committed to the betterment of society in the UK and around the globe through focused charitable giving in the areas of education, health and the community, Lisa developed the Reuben Scholarship Programme, providing underprivileged students full bursaries to Oxford and Cambridge University as well as top Russell Group universities. There are approximately 600 Reuben Scholars to date. Over the years, she has built an ongoing relationship with current scholars as well as alumni and founded the Reuben Scholar Alumni Network that will support ex-scholars as they enter the professional world.

In 2020, The Reuben Foundation contributed a founding donation of £80 million in support of Oxford University’s 39th college, Reuben College and a new graduate scholarship programme. Lisa is deeply committed to Reuben College’s goal of fostering a diverse interdisciplinary community of scholars focused on addressing challenges of the 21st century.
