Jayroop Ramesh

Jayroop recently finished their Masters in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah, UAE, where theirthesis and primary research work revolved around using wearable physiological signals and electronic health records to characterise the interplay between sleep, cardiovascular and mental health with the aid of machine learning.

Currently, Jayroop is using deep learning techniques to augment ultrasound image reconstruction at the OMNI Lab at Oxford as they read for their DPhil in Computer Science.

Non-academically, Jayroop is a fantasy/history/myth nerd, amateur chef (and relatedly, an expert fire-extinguish-er), white belt BJJ disciple, kickboxing novice, on-off powerlifter, procrastinating writer, and online educational content creator.
