James Anibal is a DPhil student at Reuben College and a member of the NIH Oxford-Cambridge Scholars program. In 2020, he graduated with a BSc in Computer Science from Case Western Reserve University. His undergraduate research focused on developing machine learning algorithms to predict immunotherapy responses from single-cell data.
James is being supervised by Professor David Clifton, and he collaborates closely with the NIH Clinical Centre in the United States as well as the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. His goal is to create AI-driven diagnostic tools that rely on physiological waveform data that is easily collected in low-resource healthcare environments.
