Harriet Warburton

Biography

Hattie is Head of Research and Impact Management for Oxford University Gardens, Libraries, and Museums (GLAM). This includes working with colleagues, external researchers, research funders, university and cultural-sector research managers, and other stakeholders on a variety of research, impact, and public engagement with research projects. Hattie also manages GLAM’s Collaborative Doctoral Programme funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), and oversees research ethics for GLAM. Hattie has a PhD in Zoology (Animal Welfare) from the University of Bristol and first came to Oxford to work as a postdoc in the Department of Zoology. After a move away from Oxford to work in the Research Councils, the Civil Service, Science Oxford, and NC3Rs, she returned to take up a role managing research in Oxford University Museums in 2013. Since then she has grown the role to include the Gardens and Libraries, and expanded her remit to cover Public Engagement with Research, Research Ethics, and Doctoral Training. These interests link well with her new role as GLAM Liaison Fellow in which she aims to make new and exciting connections between GLAM and the students and fellows of Reuben College.
