Freya Shah is a DPhil student in Engineering Science at Reuben College, Oxford. She is supervised by Professor Natalia Ares from the Department of Engineering Science and co-supervised by Dr. Ben Jaderberg from IBM Quantum UK.
Freya’s research focuses on the development of quantum-enhanced machine learning algorithms aimed at advancing computational methods in various fields such as chemistry and material science. She is also interested in using machine learning techniques to enhance quantum systems.
Beyond her academic pursuits, Freya is passionate about art and creative expression, and she enjoys traveling and experiencing diverse cuisines. She values opportunities to connect science and creativity, both within and outside the research environment.
