Emelie Shepherd

Biography

Emelie is a DPhil student in Clinical Medicine at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, University of Oxford. Her work investigates how cancer cells reprogramme gene expression under cellular stress, with a particular focus on RNA modification pseudouridine, and its impact on protein synthesis and tumour adaptation.

Emelie previously completed an MSc by Research in Biomedical Sciences and a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology at the University of Edinburgh. Outside the laboratory, she is a keen rower.
