Ayomikun Ayodeji

Biography

Ayomikun Ayodeji is a current MSc in Energy Systems student in the Department of Engineering Science.

Ayomikun is a member of the Rhodes Scholars Class of 2024 and graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2022 with dual Bachelors in Chemical Engineering and Management. At MIT, Ayomikun conducted research on perovskite solar cells under the MIT Energy Initiative, and interned with Pioneer Natural Resources where he explored the applications of machine learning tools in oil and gas completions.

Prior to joining Oxford, Ayomikun worked as an energy, climate and sustainability consultant at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In that role, he supported both public and private sector clients in tackling multifaceted, low-carbon energy challenges including developing decarbonization roadmaps, accelerating procurement scale, and enabling just workforce transitions.

Ayomikun aspires to expand reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity access across the African landscape.
