Alex is a DPhil student in Cancer Science, fully funded by Cancer Research UK. She is supervised by Prof. David Church and Prof. Nicky Whiffin. Her research focuses on vaccine development for Lynch Syndrome and colorectal cancer, with a particular emphasis on the non-coding genome.
In addition, Alex is interested in how alternative splicing influences tumour initiation and progression and which cancer-specific splicing events serve as promising targets for vaccine development.
