Adam graduated McMaster University with a Bachelor of Health Sciences, where he received the Queen Elizabeth II Scholarship in his third year. He is a founder and entrepreneur. He sits as the CEO of Sandbox, Chair of Sleeve Advisory Group, and member of the Board of various organizations, with extensive background in leadership and policy work.
During his time with the McMaster Health Forum, Adam contributed to evidence briefs that informed policymakers, including the Government of Canada, on a wide range of public health issues. He also worked at the Population Health Research Institute in Hamilton, Ontario analyzing large cohorts, with a focus on cardio-oncology and its risk factors.
Following graduation, Adam served on the McMaster Students Union (MSU) Board of Directors, where he administered large-scale reforms across the union and shaped its long-term direction to ensure sustainability. His portfolio represented over 27,000 undergraduate students, oversaw an annual budget of $22M CAD, over 700 staff, and a dozen student services.
As a student in the MSc in Translational Health Sciences, Adam hopes to explore the complex interplay involved in healthcare and its systems. His work in entrepreneurship, policy, and health has highlighted how breakthroughs often stall at implementation, and that the world needs better translators.
