This year, by popular demand we are hosting our first Insights Festival in Hilary Term; inviting Reuben members to share insights from their research with our wider College community.
We will again celebrate the remarkable work of our students and Fellows with a day of presentations, exhibitions, and free food and drinks. It provides a fantastic opportunity to practice presentation and public engagement skills in a friendly environment.
Applications are invited for participants to present their research or interests in one of two ways:
- Either as a 5 minute performance: some examples from previous events include musical performances, dance, or 20:20 style talks (20 slides, 20 seconds per slide)
- Or as a table-top stall for longer, 1:1 engagement for the duration of the event: previously we’ve had interactive models of wombs, arthritis gloves, a guess who game about bees, and a robot etc.
Successful applicants will be given a Reuben Fellow mentor to discuss their presentation/performance before the event to help you optimise it for communicating with a wide audience.
