Earlier this week, Reuben College was awarded the 2024 Oxford Preservation Trust Green Award.
The Preservation Trust said:
The University of Oxford’s historic chemistry laboratories and science library have been adapted for use by Reuben College. The refurbishment involved the removal of over 800 tons of asbestos-contaminated materials and 4 pints of mercury. The project sets a new standard for the sustainable adaptation and re-use of historic buildings.
The College extends a huge thank you to all those involved in the project; including our architects, fjcstudio, Heritage Consultant, Purcell, and Project Manager, CPC Project Management.
Keep an eye out for the plaque appearing on the College building soon.
