Tuesday Talks: Doing good without losing money - the role of private investment in international development

At this Tuesday Talk, Sir Graham discussed the challenges and rewards of trying to promote economic development in some of the world's poorest countries. He explored some concrete BII projects and discussed the role of private investment in health care, clean energy and more.

Sir Graham Wrigley, Reuben College Visiting Fellow, was Chairman of British International Investment (BII) from 2013 to 2022. BII is the development finance arm of the UK government, and invests $1.5 billion a year in Africa and South Asia in projects ranging from agribusiness and energy, to health care and information technology.
