A £1.8 million gift from The Laidlaw Foundation means that over the next three years, thirty female scholars from diverse backgrounds will be awarded scholarships for the University’s flagship MBA programme and a place at Reuben College.
The Laidlaw Scholarship is intended to encourage enrolment on the Oxford MBA programme (at the Saïd Business School), of women with leadership potential who would not have otherwise been able to do so because of financial constraints.
Reuben President, Professor Lord (Lionel) Tarassenko says:
“The Laidlaw Foundation and the College share the same aims in wishing to promote a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship in underserved graduate students. College events such as the Tuesday evening talks and dinner will complement the rigorous programme at the Business School.”
The first group of ten Laidlaw Scholars at Reuben will start in October 2024 and we look forward to seeing how this cohort will make an impact in College and Oxford during their time with us.
