Sam Gyimah is a British politician and former banker. He began his career at Goldman Sachs before being elected as the Conservative Member of Parliament for East Surrey in 2010. During his political career, he held various ministerial roles, including Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation. He resigned from the Conservative Party in protest of a no-deal Brexit and later joined the Liberal Democrats. After losing his seat in the 2019 general election, he returned to work at Goldman Sachs.
