Should you use a health tracker for oxygen, sleep and your heart?

Lionel Tarassenko provides comment on medical monitoring apps at the time of Apple's release of its latest smart watch. In conjunction with an app, the Apple Watch Series 6 can measure oxygen saturation levels in users’ blood, low blood oxygen being a symptom of COVID-19. Tarassenko has previously advised against using smartphone apps that claim to track coronvirus symptoms. Although it is not intended for medical use, Tarassenko says the new Apple Watch is a "credible and technically sound” device.
