Rowing successes for Reuben College

It's official: Reuben College has put itself on the map of the Oxford sports scene!

Over the past few weeks, Reuben students have trained hard, both on and off the water, with the men's and women's side of the Linacre/Nuffield (and now Reuben) joint boat club. This term's training culminated in various regatta events over the past couple of weeks, where our boats competed against other Oxford college boat clubs. A few notable highlights include the women's outstanding performance at Nephtys Regatta, making it to the semi-finals only to suffer a narrow defeat against Lincoln College who went on to win the title; great showings from the men's and women's crews at the Christ Church Novice Regatta, both boats with comfortable wins at repechage stage followed by a win in the first knockout round; and finally steady races from the four crews (2 men's, 2 women's) in the Isis Winter League time trials.

A very big shoutout to the five Reuben women (Thea Guy, Nijia Zhou, Sara Merner, Sharon Mustri, Ambre Bertrand) and five Reuben men (Aleksandar Petrov, Skander Moalla, Elliot Barbeary, Max Brzezicki, Peer Nagy) who competed for College, and a massive thank you to everyone who came down to the river to cheer us on! We look forward to seeing more Reuben sporting exploits over the months, and indeed years, to come.
