Reuben Student Danny Gold fundraises for MS Society

On Saturday 16 September 2023, DPhil in Biochemistry student Danny Gold took part in the MS Society’s 10km MS Walk to raise both awareness of the disease and funds towards support for MS sufferers and research into curative treatments.

On why he participated in the walk, Danny said: “In February 2020, my father was diagnosed with the disease; he had symptoms for years, but doctors couldn’t seem to pinpoint the root cause, with it being a tricky disease to diagnose. Treatment is very limited, and he still suffers daily.
Despite all of this, he still never fails to be there for me as a father and as a best friend. He always offers advice, has a great sense of humour, and is one of my rocks. My life is better with him in it, and he is one of the bravest people I know. I’m very lucky to call him my dad.”

Danny has also set up a JustGiving page for those who are able to donate to the cause. To find out more about the MS Society and what they do, visit: www.mssociety.org.uk/about-ms/what-is-ms.
