First Issue of ‘The Reuby’, Reuben College’s Student Magazine, Published

As with many firsts for Reuben College this year, The Reuby has been driven by our students. Whilst we’re a young college, our vibrant community found a wide range of topics to cover to make for a varied and engaging first issue.

Featuring over 30 contributors, the 25 pieces in The Reuby’s first issue range from scientific articles to opinion pieces; short stories and poems to pieces about the Reuben experience, and cover a variety of topics including climate change, AI, clinical neuroscience, literature, music, and more. The magazine has been in the works since early 2022, and has gone from a mere idea to a fully polished publication due to the hard work of the editorial team.

Establishing the magazine and putting together the first issue has been an exhilarating journey as a mere idea took on flesh and bones, revealing its full potential. Together, we've created a new channel of expression for Reuben College in a wide gamut of domains, genres, modalities, and languages, all while maintaining a high standard of quality and innovation. - Daniel Revach, Editor-in-Chief

It was so rewarding to work with such a dedicated team, and seeing where we started and the final publication is amazing. Also seeing the Reubenites and their varying interests brought to life made working on the magazine fun and insightful. - Rachel Kader, co-editor
